EGR Valve & Cooler Delete Kit from MEL for 2007.5 - 2009 6.7 Cummins
I just installed this kit recently. The quality of the parts is very good.
You will get an engine code but the truck will run fine without the need of a tuner device.
The throttle/ butterfly unit has to stay connected.
If you put a straight pipe included in some kits to remove the throttle/ butterfly valve just before the intake, then you need a tuner for sure. If not, the engine will go in limp mode.
I drilled holes on the flap part of the valve to avoid rough idle.
To do that, the valve has to be removed from the intake and the flap extracted to drill it.
Then reassembled and reconnected.
