Overview

The Banks Power 13252 Oil Cooler Upgrade Kit will help lower oil temperatures greater than the factory unit and help extend the oil life in your GM truck. This oil cooler reduces the heat up to 31% more than the stock unit on 2001-2007 and 2011-2019 6.6L Duramax engines. At the stock 450 horsepower output, Bank's 19-plate cooler dissipates heat 22% better compared to the 2017-2019 factory oil coolers with only 14 plates. A modified truck pushing 600 horsepower with a higher rpm speed and load will see an even bigger difference between the two coolers with 31% more heat rejection. The heat dissipation on older Duramax engines is even more impressive as the 2001-2007 models used 10-plate oil coolers while the 2011-2016 models utilized 11-plate oil coolers. The additional cooling plates, improved oil flow, and available surface area utilized for heat transfer means the Banks oil cooler sheds more BTUs of heat while maintaining proper oil pressure. A complete hardware kit, gaskets, and a high-quality oil filter are included as well as a pre-installed 1/8" NPT port that can be utilized for oil temperature or pressure sensors.
